There's a discussion going on over at TreoCentral about the next Treo. A forum member is claiming that he has inside information on the next Treo and it's supposedly running Palm Cobalt 6.1 and will have the same form factor as the Treo 650. He also reports a Bluetooth 1.2 stack, better compatibility with Bluetooth devices, built-in Wifi (not sure if it will be in the final product, though), 64MB of internal memory, and EVDO capability. He's also stating that the soft reset button has been added to the left side and the headphone jack is on top.
Once again, this is just what this member is claiming...basically treat it as a rumor. It would be nice if the unit did have everything listed. I'm most excited about Palm Cobalt (thought it was dead?) and the soft reset button! Yes, I'm more excited about the soft reset button than the possibility of built-in Wifi. Do you know how much of a pain it is to get the cover off of the Treo just to get to the button? It really is a dumb design. Especially since I end up doing almost once a week. Built-in wireless on the Treo doesn't really excite me simply because if I had it, I would most likely use it at home and if I'm home, I'd much rather surf the net on a 17-inch LCD. But it would be nice for accessing the network to transfer mp3s and other media files.
