I came across an interesting blog yesterday....Learn About a New Animal Everyday. Every day, a profile of a different animal will be posted. I thought it was a great idea for a blog and immediately added it to my Bloglines account, plus Onfolio.

So in the next couple of weeks, expect to see some changes/moves. I've been playing around with the Wordpress software and there is most certainly a learning curve involved...Typepad is definitely targeted more towards the user who just wants to post and go. However, Wordpress seems like it has a lot more possibilities with all the different plugins. I've already found quite a few that I plan to download for the new blog.

Mark Fletcher, CEO of Bloglines, has promised that his company will release a blog search engine this summer that will top present blog search engines, Feedster, Technorati, and PubSub. This new search engine will "lead users to the relevant blogs, and then help them organize all the feeds pouring onto their desktop. He sees the technology automatically grouping the feeds, or perhaps ranking them according to the user's interests (as documented by clicks)."

Even though Google has always maintained that they have no intentions in wanting to compete with portals like Yahoo and Microsoft, yesterday they announced a service which will allows users to customize their google homepage.
Right now, the project to tie together all of Google's services labelled "Fusion" is in beta.
I've been using Yahoo!'s mail and portal for years. Only recently have I been taking advantage of Google's services and I believe that they can give Yahoo! a run for their money. I'm already a big fan of Gmail and its free POP access and I love Google's news. Looks like yet another step in Google's journey towards world domination!

I have just found the coolest tool on Lewis Moten's blog. It's a tool he created to help with adding Technorati tags to your blogs. Usually, I would have to go to Technorati, type in the tag, and then copy the code and then paste it into my post. With this program that Lewis created, you can just type in whatever tags you want, and it automatically generates it and it's copied to your clipboard!!
