Listen to your iPod in the shower

Isplash
Believe it or not, I've been looking for a way to listen to my iPod in the bathroom without having to worry about the steam/water damaging my player.  So when I saw this device on Techie Diva's site,  my eyes lit up.  The iSplash allows you to listen to your iPod (or other mp3 player) in the shower by wireless transmission.  Using a 900MHz dual-frequency PLL transmitter, it sends audio from your iPod, mp3 player, stereo, TV, etc. up to 150 feet through walls, and floors to the wireless speaker.  Your device is connected via Zipconnect modules to make this all happen while the "splashproof" speaker hangs from the showerhead.

You can purchase this device from Sharper Image for $129 and it works with all iPods and many other devices.  The company also assures us that no matter what device comes out to play music, they will create a module for it.

Boxwave FlexiSkin w/Armband for the iPod nano

Boxwave4-3
Check out my review of the Boxwave FlexiSkin with Armband for the iPod nano (posted on Digital Tech Life) and see why I highly recommend it.

The silicone covers the entire iPod with the exception of the screen. Unlike a few cases, the click wheel is covered, but the silicone is thin enough to allow you to control the iPod with the same amount of ease as if your nano was naked. The silicone is clear enough around the clickwheel so that you can see the directional symbols and menu lettering. In a sign that Boxwave pays attention to detail, the area covering the clickwheel is slightly indented. This makes a big difference if you have the case under your jacket or shirt. You can feel where the clickwheel is without having to look at the iPod.

Pods Plus Nano Skins - Review

Check out my review (posted at Digital Tech Life) of the Pods Plus Nano Skin cases for the iPod Nano

Podsplus4-2
Overall, this is a good case for your iPod, especially for the price.  It offers the protection for your case against scratches and the included neck lanyard is a plus.  The only problems are the lack of screen protection and the small wrist lanyard.  Paired with a decent screen protector, this will address all your concerns about scratching your device.  You can purchase the Pods Plus iPod Nano Skin at the PodsPlus website for $11.99.  The website also has a number of other cases and accessories for other iPod models as well, along with the Treo 650.  For a limited time, they have free shipping on all orders over $25.00.

iball for iPods

Iball
It looks like one of those little aromatherapy machines, but it's actually a wireless speaker system for the iPod.  The iBall is manufactured by Oregon Scientific and claims to have six to eight hours of battery life and can recharge your iPod.  It can broadcast music wirelessly with its advanced 2.4GHz wireless technology.  It also has built-in remote control so that you can control your iPod directly from the iBall.

All in all, it's a unique looking device but $299.99 is a little steep.

Ice Creme for iPods and PSPs

Prdicecremebeauty1

Is your iPod scuffed up or has some minor damage?  Has your shiny black PSP lost its luster?  An Ice Creme solution may be what you need to make your devices look new again.  Ice Creme is a solution that removes surface abrasion and scratches from acrylic and bright metal surfaces.  You can use Ice Creme on devices like the iPod, iBook, PDAs, and cell phones.
The regular formula is for plastic products and lightly damaged bright metal. The "M" version adds a special metal refinishing pad which can restore severe bright metal surface damage - like the iPod's bright metal back panel.  Not for use on iPod mini, painted or anodized surfaces. Both versions include Optex application and polishing cloths.

You can purchase the Ice Creme solution for $20.95 and it includes 2 1 oz. bottles of polishing compounds and 2 application/polishing cloths.  The Ice Creme "M" is available for  $25.95 and includes the same items as the regular solution but with the addition of a bright metal finishing pad.

Vaja iPod Cases

Vajaipod_3
Classic AP96 - $75.00

I was over at Vaja looking at their cases for the Treo 650 and decided to see what interesting new cases they had for the iPod.  Of course they didn't disappoint.  Two cases that caught my eye:
Ipodrastai-volution rasta - $110

~Their cases may be expensive, but you can't say they're not original.  I do wonder about the strap on the Classic case.  Isn't having that hanging from your shoulder an invitation to get mugged?~
