Can I have a DVD with that Big Mac?
McDonalds is currently testing a DVD rental service in some of its restaurants. For a $1 a day, you can rent a McDVD and soon you will be able to rent across country. Yes! It's everything you've dreamed of....you can rent Happy Gilmore in Washington D.C. and drop it off in Philadelphia a couple of days later while renting something else...(all the while ordering tons of nutritious food from Mickey D's).
"Rentals are primarily the top 40 new releases, cost $1 a night for each (paid by credit card only) and are due by 10 p.m. the following day. If a customer keeps the disc, they are charged $1 a day until the disc is returned or 25 days have passed, when the renter becomes the owner."
~First the music downloads and the photo kiosks, now a DVD rental service? What's next, an in-store beauty salon? Ooohhh....what about a place where I can get my nails done?~
