The first phone to support Cingular's new push-to-talk service is the LG F7200. This slider-styled phone features a speakerphone, IM client, and not much else. Its claim to fame will be it ability to use Cingular's push-to-talk service that will cost interested Cingular customer's $9.99 a month for unlimited use. The differences between Cingular's PTT and those offered by Verizon and Sprint Nextel, is that Cingular customers will be able to transfer a PTT conversation to a regular call. There's also a feature that will allow you to verify whether someone is available before starting one of those annoying conversations.
Right now, the LG F7200 is the only phone available that works with the new service. The next phone to be compatible will be the Samsung D357.
