Roger Ebert gives Fantastic Four ONE star
Even though the dialogue in the trailer is rather cheesy, I've been looking forward to the latest comic book to hit the big screen, Fantastic Four. I decided to go online this evening and see what the critics gave it....and to my surprise, Roger Ebert blessed it with ONE star. Here's the last sentence of his review:
And the really good superhero movies, like "Superman," "SpiderMan 2" and "Batman Begins," leave "Fantastic Four" so far behind that the movie should almost be ashamed to show itself in the same theaters.
After reading this and remembering the trailer, I almost want to stay home and keep our hard-earned money in our pockets. I'm usually not one to listen to the critics (after all, they all panned the greatest movie of all time, Pootie Tang), but I might have to do it this time.
